Premier League Fantasy Football Week 38

Premier League Fantasy Football Week 38 – The End!

It’s really not worth dwelling on our team from last week. It came, it saw, it fell in the sea and drowned by the looks of things. Joao Moutinho and Luka Milivojevic did passably well, but as they were the most popular picks by our competitors in the contest, that counted for very little.

And so we reach the final week of the 2018/19 Premier League season. Let’s see if we can go out on a high. Draft Kings‘ game obviously has all 10 matches on Sunday included, so by using our algorithm to find the players who have performed best over the last six weeks, we’ve assembled our team.  Read More

Our run of winning was never going to last forever, and we didn’t do too badly last week, even if we didn’t quite scale our previous heights.

Southampton’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg top scored for us, and not just with his name in Scrabble. Perez, Redmond and Richarlison got into double figures for points too, but Ben Foster and the Brighton pair were below par and so our team was too.

Draft Kings‘ contest has just three matches from which we can select our team in week 37, which always makes things more interesting, especially when none of the top six are included. By using our algorithm to find the players who have performed best over the last six weeks, we’ve assembled our gang of eight. Before we reveal all, here are the matches this week.

We don’t claim cash prizes in the Draft Kings fantasy games too often, so you’ll have to forgive us for bragging about our second successive victory. It was our best performance too, finishing joint 116th out of 1,426 entrants.

The man we have to thank is the captain of our latest team of the week, Ayoze Perez. His hat-trick bagged us 41 points, and almost half of our team’s total. The Leicester pair of Jamie Vardy and Jamie Maddison both contributed at least 11 points to provide Perez with able support. But can we make it three wins in a row?

The contest has five games from which we can select our team in week 36, so by using our algorithm to determine the players who have performed best over the last six weeks, we’ve assembled our squad. Before we reveal all, here are the matches this week.

Not to boast or anything, but we had a good week last week. You? We won $0.48 from our $0.25 stake, which obviously makes up for the times we’ve drawn a blank.

Our two main men were up against each other, and responsible for all three goals in their match. Paul Pogba captained our team of the week, while Felipe Anderson got on the score sheet at Old Trafford too. Nobody else in our team did much of note, not that it mattered in terms of raking in the big bucks.

Draft Kings‘ game has five matches from which we can select our team this week, so by using our algorithm to find the players who have performed best over the last six weeks, we’ve assembled our lads. Before we reveal all, here are the matches included this week.

How did you get on last week? We did okay, but if we had eight James Maddisons, we’d have done a lot better.

The Leicester man was responsible for over 40 percent of our points total in week 33. Luka Milivojevic did what he usually does – score a penalty – to pick up a decent tally, but none of our other six players broke double figures. No one ever said it was going to be easy.

Draft Kings‘ contest has five matches from which we can select our squad in week 34, so by using our algorithm to find out which players have performed best over the last six weeks, we’ve assembled our eight man team. Before we reveal who’s in, here are the games this week.

We picked the wrong Leicester man last week. Our algorithm selected Jonny Evans, but it was Wes Morgan who got on the score sheet. Our top performer was David de Gea, who made seven saves in United’s 2-1 win over Watford. The Red Devils shouldn’t be conceding eight shots on target at home to anybody, but I’m sure with Ole at the wheel their years of defensive ineptitude will soon be put behind them. Maybe.

Sadly de Gea was unable to save our team, as his colleagues Pogba (who did next to nothing) and Lukaku (who didn’t get off the bench) provided just 1.5 points between them. Oh well, on we march into week 33.

Draft Kings‘ game only has three matches from which we can select our team, so it should be an interesting contest. By using our algorithm to find the players who’ve performed best over the last six weeks, we have assembled our squad. Before we reveal the full team, here are the matches included this week.

Our algorithm loves Harry Maguire (if destroyed definitely still true). The Leicester City centre-back is a regular pick in our fantasy football team, and he made the cut last time out. Sadly for us, within four minutes at Turf Moor he’d been sent off and sunk our team in one fell swoop.

We were also in the 49% of contestants who selected West Ham’s Lukasz Fabianski. Who knew Huddersfield would score one, never mind three goals at the London Stadium? You get the idea; we stunk the place out last week, and there’s no point dwelling on it.

Draft Kings‘ game has six matches from which we can select our squad in week 32, so by using our algorithm to find the top players from the last six weeks, we’ve assembled our team. Before we reveal all, here are the matches included this week.

By getting 87.5 points last weekend, we assumed our team would’ve done reasonably well. Alas, the standard was super high and we were left for dust. While Raheem Sterling picked up 40 points for us, his strike partner Sergio Aguero earned just five. The star pick last week appeared to be Newcastle’s Ayoze Perez; just 2.5% of people selected him, yet the snub obviously motivated him to earn 35.5 points, and an all-important spot in our team of the week.

Draft Kings‘ game has just three matches from which we can select our team in week 31, and none of them feature the top sides so it should be an interesting competition this week. By using our algorithm to find who has performed best over the last six weeks, we’ve assembled our squad. Before we reveal all, here are the trio of matches.

Our team last weekend was the same as many before it: a mixture of the sublime and the ridiculous. I can’t recall having a team where three of the eight players scored negative points. That one of them was Paul Pogba, one of our top players this season, makes it all the more mystifying.

Wilfried Zaha scored 18.75 points, while Raul Jimenez top scored with 22.5 (and made our team of the week). But it wasn’t enough to save the shambles of a team behind them.

Draft Kings‘ game has six games from which we can select our team in week 30. By using our algorithm to find the players who have performed best over the last six weeks, we’ve assembled our squad. Before we reveal all, here are the matches this week.

BOOM! We’re in the money! Shame we only enter a $0.25 competition each week, but a return of $0.75 is our best to date, and a better return than any investment portfolio can give you.

We went heavy on Liverpool against Watford, and they didn’t disappoint. Not that we could’ve predicted that our man of the week Virgil van Dijk would net a brace, but there’s always some luck involved. Sadio Mané also scored twice, and Alisson kept a clean sheet. Top work, Reds.

Draft Kings‘ game has six matches from which we can select our fantasy football team in week 29, so by using our algorithm to find the players who have performed best for the 12 clubs over the last six weeks, we’ve assembled our squad. Before we reveal the VIII, here are the fixtures for this week.
