We don’t claim cash prizes in the Draft Kings fantasy games too often, so you’ll have to forgive us for bragging about our second successive victory. It was our best performance too, finishing joint 116th out of 1,426 entrants.
The man we have to thank is the captain of our latest team of the week, Ayoze Perez. His hat-trick bagged us 41 points, and almost half of our team’s total. The Leicester pair of Jamie Vardy and Jamie Maddison both contributed at least 11 points to provide Perez with able support. But can we make it three wins in a row?
The contest has five games from which we can select our team in week 36, so by using our algorithm to determine the players who have performed best over the last six weeks, we’ve assembled our squad. Before we reveal all, here are the matches this week.
It goes without saying that Ayoze Perez retains his place in the team after his excellent performance last week. He’ll be up against our two defenders, as our system appears to like the Brighton pairing of Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk.
In midfield we have Palace’s Luka Milivojevic (so let’s hope the Eagles are awarded a penalty or a free-kick on the edge of the box) and Southampton’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The Danish Saint’s teammate, Nathan Redmond, has bagged a berth at the front end of the team. Bournemouth may have won 5-0 at Brighton in their last away match, but Southampton should be the more fired up side in the south coast derby.
Our other forward is Richarlison, which just leaves us needing a goalkeeper. Scraping onto our leader board in 50th and final place is Watford’s Ben Foster so he sneaked into the final spot.
Here’s our full fantasy football week 36 team. Fingers crossed for a cash prize hat-trick!
