We picked the wrong Leicester man last week. Our algorithm selected Jonny Evans, but it was Wes Morgan who got on the score sheet. Our top performer was David de Gea, who made seven saves in United’s 2-1 win over Watford. The Red Devils shouldn’t be conceding eight shots on target at home to anybody, but I’m sure with Ole at the wheel their years of defensive ineptitude will soon be put behind them. Maybe.
Sadly de Gea was unable to save our team, as his colleagues Pogba (who did next to nothing) and Lukaku (who didn’t get off the bench) provided just 1.5 points between them. Oh well, on we march into week 33.
Draft Kings‘ game only has three matches from which we can select our team, so it should be an interesting contest. By using our algorithm to find the players who’ve performed best over the last six weeks, we have assembled our squad. Before we reveal the full team, here are the matches included this week.
The top points scorer from these teams over the last few weeks is Leicester’s James Maddison, so he’ll be leading our team. He’s joined by team mate Jonny Evans. No, we haven’t learned our lesson from last week.
There’s no Terriers in our team, but the rest of the squad will be up against each other. Our two centre-backs will be on opposite sides at the Vitality Stadium, as Nathan Aké‘s Bournemouth host Ben Mee‘s Burnley.
In the north east, Newcastle United face Crystal Palace. Let’s hope the Magpies’ Martin Dubravka and Ayoze Perez have as good a game as Luka Milivojevic and Wilfried Zaha do for the Eagles. It’s a battle of the birds at St James Park.
Here’s our full fantasy football week 33 team. Good luck!
