Suggesting players to put into your fantasy team for Draft Kings is all well and good, but it pays to check the team news too. Last week’s team featured Josh King of Bournemouth and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg of Southampton. Had they actually played, they might have earned us some points, you never know.
With a goal and two assists, Mohamed Salah very much played, to the point he earned almost half of our team’s total tally on his own. Well, with the help of Xherdan Shaqiri and Sadio Mané converting the big chances he created, but you know what I mean. Joao Moutinho picked up 12 points, but nobody else broke double figures. Onwards and upwards, with this week’s matches.
Except. Is it the best use of resources if you still have $8,100 of your salary budget available and your team’s total fantasy points per game is only 65.5? I figured it wasn’t, so made a few amendments while still largely adhering to the power of Twelve.
Ben Foster gets the nod in goal this week. He’s joined in the team by his fellow Hornet and Twelve favourite, Roberto Pereyra. They’re up against win-less Newcastle this week, so should do well.
We have two Leicester players too; Harry Maguire in defence, and James Maddison in midfield. The Foxes travel to Cardiff, so have a good chance of a result, though nobody could blame them if their minds are elsewhere this week.
Maguire is partnered at the back with Brighton’s Shane Duffy. As the Seagulls travel to Everton, this is perhaps a risky pick, but Duffy has been performing consistently well this season so we’re giving him a chance this week.
Fabian Balbuena was our player of the week last weekend, so he gets the utility slot. That leaves the two berths in attack, and our algorithm has selected Alexandre Lacazette and Gylfi Sigurdsson. And that’s our full Premier League Fantasy Football selections: Week 11. Good luck!
